Better than expected!

***UPDATE*** While I still like the mask, I find the Shining Mask app to be a bit sketchy. My antivirus on my phone flagged it as suspicious malware. Scary concept when you allow access to your photo gallery. Deleting the app and trying to reinstall it gave me the same warning. Below was my initial review: This mask is way better than I thought it would be. The images are quite low resolution but look very cool, especially in the dark. I like that there are both static images and animations. You can also customize your own images. The mask has an adjustable elastic strap so it fits any head size. Charging with the micro USB-C cable (included) takes about 5 hours. It's hard to see through the mask. The eye holes are quite small and end up an inch or more in front of your eyes. You will not have peripheral vision while wearing this. The images on the mask can be changed manually by pressing the power button or swiping in front of the sensor. I'm still in the process of grappling with this part. When you download the Shining Mask app on your smartphone, the fun begins. You can use your phone to select the specific image or set of images you want to view. You need to read the instructions carefully to understand some things. I'm not the most tech-savvy person, but I'm a slow learner. IMPORTANT NOTICE THAT YOU MUST PAIR YOUR BLUETOOTH SMARTPHONE WITH THE MASK VIA THE SHINING MASK APP AND NOT ON THE PHONE LIKE THE SPEAKER. This confused me a bit because I didn't read the instructions. There are also modes that allow you to write text and set the mask to music (plays through the phone's speaker). Again, I'm still figuring this out and can't wait to explore the different features. Since you can't tell what's on the mask when you switch images unless you're holding your phone in front of your face or looking in a mirror, there are times when you might want an accomplice to control what's on display . After all, it's a really fun technology and it's going to be a lot of fun. I definitely recommend it, but if you're a big sci-fi fan, don't expect tomorrow's world today. There's still a long way to go, but I have a feeling these gadgets will look a lot cooler soon. It's more of a novelty at the moment.
