I've just started learning how to use a sewing machine. Bought this item to work on small projects. The product came as in the photo. I tried to use it after opening it but it didn't work. I had to use a pencil sharpener before I could draw on fabric. I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to work, but I haven't had any other problems.
