I was afraid these might be too much fabric for our hot summers, but my husband LOVES these. He says the fabric is really lightweight and breathable, that they're the most comfortable boxer briefs he's tried in a while. Proof is in the weekly laundry: they're in heavy rotation & get washed every week. So far after at least 10 washes they still seem good as new, no pilling or decompensation of the fabric. The longer leg honestly makes them easier to fold & put away too. We want more!
