Review on Kensington VU4000 Video Adapter K33988WW by Daionte Simpson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quick and easy installation, nice picture

Reliable USB cable, crumpled USB connector on one end and DP connector on the other. After the item arrived I realized I needed a DP cable so I quickly ordered one. See my review, it's short like this. I just tried a USB to HDMI (Xtreme Home Theater) adapter that I bought from Menards for less than $10, the driver won't load, the driver is included on the mini CD-ROM, and guess who didn't plug it in or put it in that 2013 laptop? Me and about a trillion others with laptops that have been released since the MacBook Air came out and the industry moved away from removable storage. Worse still, the product doesn't appear on the website (although there are plenty of them, see for yourself) and the mini-USB version doesn't have a downloadable driver. open about my xtreme driver problem, i watched the system recognize and install kensington lickity-split, no fiddling, nothing, just worked. The box says compatible with 8.1, 8 and 7, but everything is fine. The screen didn't move on its own from the previous HDMI input so I did it manually and the picture that came out was great. The adapter box is barely warm enough to be detected by hand. No crackle, no screen voodoo, just works.

Pros
  • Compatible devices: Tablet
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
