Review on Sony HX400V Compact Digital Camera: Capturing Brilliance with 50x Optical Zoom in Black by Hasam Mondol ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I'm not completely satisfied with the product.

If it weren't for the geometric distortion of pictures in the corners at small focal lengths and the blurring of pictures in automatic modes, the device could be classified as the most successful ZOOM in the semi-professional segment. But . One feels the retribution for the large ZOOM and versatility. The lens does not reach the semi-professional, which is a pity, the device would have turned out outstanding. Also upsets automatic exposure. The processor does not handle ISO well. The pictures are washed out even in excellent lighting conditions, but about cloudy and evening darkness in general. You can achieve decent quality only when working in M mode, which is not possible for everyone, but the built-in exposure meter helps. The hand does not rise to rate above 3. It remains to be hoped for restyling.

Pros
  • Nimble, excellent stabilizer, advanced manual focus, decent video recording, good lens aperture, excellent ZOOM, the ability to install filters, an informative menu, a viewfinder, a connector for external devices, support for data transfer and control over Wi-Fi, as well as DLNA.
Cons
  • The battery is rather weak, the lid is without a cord, the display does not cover, soapy pictures, geometric distortions at small focal lengths.
