The remote is not a drop replacement on the original key

I have an Accord 06 and needed a new remote. It started eating batteries and had to be replaced every 2 weeks. I bought this to remove the removed module and use it in my original key wrapper as I didn't need a new key. Programming was very easy and it worked immediately after completing the process. The first problem was that the screw had somehow already snapped off - I had to open the case to get the remote control. Unfortunately, when I tried plugging the remote into my existing dongle, I found that it didn't work. The top part of the cover was too thick (see photo) ie it didn't fit. I tried changing the circuit board which unfortunately resulted in the silicone gasket barely coming out of the remote. This incompatibility was not noticed anywhere. Not relevant, but the panic button isn't recessed like on the stock remote. This can make it easier to accidentally press into the pocket.
