This is a really nice large ceramic casserole dish that is great for cooking for a large group, whether you are a large family or entertaining friends. This casserole dish holds things like a large lasagna for probably 8-10 people, or baked beans or a baked potato casserole for probably 12 people. It's also big enough to hold a large roast beef or pork, or a large whole chicken. The red color of this ceramic casserole dish is bright red. The color is gorgeous and pairs well with red or blush dishes like lasagne or enchiladas simply because they look beautiful in them! This casserole dish goes from the oven (or microwave) to the table, and you can feel good about taking it to lunch because it makes such a pretty serving platter. For Christmas, this dish fits perfectly with the traditional green and red Christmas color scheme, and if you want to coordinate your table with festive decorations, you'll be sure to use this dish again for Valentine's Day and the 4th of July. (and of course several times in between). The interior of this pan is matte rather than glossy; I was concerned that this would make cleaning more difficult, but like my other ceramic pans, it cleans up well with soap, warm water and a sponge. It can be washed in the dishwasher, which is also a plus. This dish has a good weight; It seems solid and I can't imagine it chipping or breaking unless it's been seriously abused. With proper care, it should last for years and look nice and brand new for years to come. Overall, this casserole dish is large, spacious, beautiful, versatile and easy to clean. highlighted.
