Review on Edifier H840 Audiophile Over-The-Ear Headphones - Hi-Fi Closed Monitor Music Listening - Blue by Jagvir Singhtakhar ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

I bought cheap headphones for the street. The conditions were as follows: good sound insulation, high-quality sound, full-size format (I don’t wear a hat in winter, it’s cold in overhead), the price is no more than 1.5k. In the variants there were only 500 cones (they are some kind of monoprices) and edifier 850. Having accumulated the required amount, I went to the market - the price of cones jumped from 900 to 1.6k. Thought "Ugh on them, for that kind of money, I'd rather take 850." Went to the store. As a result, it turned out that they actually have 850, but they are defective. There is nothing to do, I decided to take 840 (before that I didn’t take them seriously at all). It would seem that quality can be for 950? Usually these are headphones made of disgusting plastic, with polyethylene ear pads, with terrible flimsy wiring and disgusting sound. Bought and printed. And what we see: ear pads made of very pleasant soft leatherette, a metal headband trimmed with the same leatherette with a polyurethane lining, plastic that does not raise any doubts about its quality, a comfortable fit and really high-quality sound. Soundproofing suits. If the same legendary 508 rhythms have a bunch of disadvantages against several advantages and, in general, are a very controversial model, then here, only 2 times more expensive, we get headphones that have no compromises at all.

Pros
  • Sound, materials, assembly, comfort, price.
Cons
  • Double sided cable.
