I bought this for one of my aquariums to have the light turn on and off automatically. Programming wasn't difficult and I didn't experience any resets. But the reason for the 3 stars is that I think my unit might be faulty as it seems to be causing an intermittent surge of electricity which causes the tank lights to flash briefly every 10 seconds when in off mode. This doesn't turn the light on fully, but rather a smaller flash-like burst. It's not very noticeable when the lights are on in the house, but very distracting when it's all dark at night. I haven't seen this in other comments, so I think it may be a defect in my device.
