These shoes saved my life when I had to accompany an 8th grader to Disneyland in 2006. After wearing a new pair on this 5 day trip, I returned home and bought 2 more identical pairs to sell and set aside for future use. I threw away the very first pair of Romys about a year ago. They have long been my favorite grunge work shoes and have been worn heavily with an almost slick sole; In the meantime I have also used the first of my spare pairs for everyday use. These shoes have since become my go-to grunge pair, and I currently wear a second backup pair for dressier occasions. So that I never have to do without my favorite hiking and lifestyle shoes, I recently ordered this fourth pair. They are incredibly comfortable and last a very long time with frequent use.
