So I don't know why so many people are having trouble figuring this out. It has instructions if you need them, but if you just look at the parts description you can basically figure it out. Unscrew your old one, put an appropriately sized screw in the bottom of this one, and screw it back in. They have an attached "Tightening Tool". Just put it on, tighten it and you're done. EASY! The other thing I keep reading is that people can get water to drain because they don't know how to get it up. First of all, I'm worried. Do you scoop the water out by hand or just leave it in the tub? Again, instructions are your friend. Unlike most stocks (like your old one), don't rotate them. Just pull straight up. And to stop the drain, just push it down (again without twisting). We once had an issue where it would not close fully and would emit a faint buzz. Clicking on it again stopped immediately. Otherwise there are no problems and cleaning is also easy.
