I really need trees, I can't make the pole strong enough.

I am writing through tears from three children because they really want this to work. We live on a wide, flat prairie with no trees, but I built a playground and fences for the monkeys and made a lot of post holes, so I figured I could do it. First, it's VERY LONG. Maybe I'm the only dummy who didn't realize that 50 feet is quite a long time, by comparison my 4 swing platform swing is 14 feet long. So it is long, which means that the load on the end frames is high. You'll need to set it up fairly high for the kids too, so the bar/bar should be about 10 feet off the ground. I loaded the 2 x 4 x 14 and 4 x 4 x 8 3 feet and added the support and it still flexes and our swing, which I thought would make a decent anchor, is totally off the ground , when our 40 lb kid tried it once. On the other hand the quality is great, the fit and finish is fantastic and the tech is great for TREES. The ratchet is easy to use and I was able to get it ready on TREES in 10 minutes or less (after the first time). I'll try a shorter version that might make the stress more manageable. Don't repeat my mistake when I thought that a "strong pole" could be made by hand. hp In the research methods (after failing) I found many pointers on how NOT to use on the structural part of your house etc. The tension is higher than you expect.
