I was very impressed with these lights. I got one to try and a few days later I decided to buy a second set to give my 20g reef more coverage. It's been a few months and I'm getting a ton of coralline algae. My corals love it too. I highly recommend them for shallow reef systems. Not suitable for deep tanks. They aren't strong enough for SPS corals, but LPS and Soft seem to love it. They don't have a timer, but you can get a cheap one from Walmart. The only problem is that you can only use the timer with white and blue. If you only want to use the blue lights you'll need to press the button on top as this is set to turn on both lights first. Since I like having both lights on at the same time, that wasn't a problem for me. There's also no way to adjust the intensity percentage for white or blue. Again, it's not about what I wanted to achieve. They are very simple, functional and cheap. They are very easy to install. Great buy for the money. Especially when you are just starting out in a hobby, have a quarantine aquarium or sanctuary.
