Review on 👶 ChillaxCare Giraffe Pro Smart Baby Monitor - WiFi Camera with 4.3" Color Screen, 1080P Video, Remote Access, Night Vision, 2-Way Audio by Paul Lawson

After reading some positive articles online I was very happy to receive our much needed system in the mail. However, this was a big disappointment. In fact, I'd be surprised if any of the people who gave 5 star reviews actually had kids. For starters, the camera has a very bright blue LED on the back that illuminates the entire room. One of our biggest priorities to get our boy to sleep is to keep the room dark and this camera makes that impossible. Even if you cover the light with tape, it still goes through the mesh. Unfortunately, the mesh helps keep the camera cool and shouldn't be covered. Then there's Zoom. If you want to see your baby in the crib, don't plan on strapping them to the edge of the crib like we did. The maximum reduced value is too close and you cannot see anything. In the end I almost had to hang it from the ceiling and I still can't see the whole crib. A few more things. The app is clunky and slow, the monitor's UI isn't very user-friendly, and the monitor's battery life is 8 hours...not enough to last a whole night without a network connection. This means that hibernation is useless as the screen won't turn off when connected to the network. To be honest, I feel like this product is feature rich on paper but pretty hopeless in practice. We'll get ours back tomorrow. I would not recommend it.
