I have had these pots several times in my life. They are so easy to care for that they don't have to be scrubbed or accidentally washed in the dishwasher because "nothing goes off". You could just wipe it with a damp sponge. I've only used the large pot twice, and this afternoon I've only washed it for the third time (including washing it after it first arrived). I always wash with a soft sponge with mild soap, non-abrasive warm water only after the pot has completely cooled. I only use silicone or wooden utensils. The first time I used the pot to make soup, the second time I made potatoes. Basically, what I'm saying is that there's no reason the bank should fail...but it did. I take care of my kitchen tools because I love to cook and tools are not cheap and I want them to last a long time. I'm disappointed that I saved up to get this set so it's worth noting that despite the great care I take it broke in such a short time.
