Works exactly as advertised
To be honest I didn't expect the back to be open and open. I'm assuming that's how it's constructed, though, since it's primarily intended for use with the wooden director's monitor cage. That being said, it will work well if you just need a way to add extra D-tap ports to a gold mount battery.
- ADJUSTABLE MOUNTING SYSTEM: The camera's wooden battery plate works great with the Director monitor cage or for an adjustable mounting system that attaches to poles, use the Battery Slider or Recorder Slider along with the appropriate pole clamp: Pole Clamp (Length 15mm) , Rod Clamp (15mm Studio) and Rod Clamp (19mm).
