This is a dynamite scratching post. We needed something very big for my curious 5 month old, recently adopted, very active kitten and this is perfect for him. Our apartment is in the attic, and he likes to sit in the attic and look out the window, watching the passers-by and the traffic. He rushes through the apartment, quickly adapts to the steps and skillfully overcomes them. He sleeps on each of the floors depending on the time of day and scratches the sisal all the way to the top. It's a solid, well-built part that's easy to assemble. Because our apartment is small (600 square feet) it is ideal for house cats to get all the exercise they need to stay physically and mentally healthy. many scratching posts of this size so well built and at such a great price.
