We deliver our camper with it. They are slightly stronger and larger than the typical cheap white plastic paraphernalia found on store shelves. I bought different brands, there are some that are a bit heavier, I would say these are not the ones, maybe in the middle. I haven't seen any dark spots like others have noted, or rough edges that you might cut. I ran the spoon over my food, washed my hands and rubbed it with a paper towel to see if the silver wore off as some said. I can see a few scratches on the back and some "buffing" of the shine on the back of the spoon after rubbing vigorously with a towel. As long as they don't chip off and release silver into our food or mouth, I agree with them - they're plastic so I don't expect them to be ordinary items. As for plastic utensils I'm very happy with them, the pack size is a pretty good deal. I have purchased other items via mail order and they all came in a larger box so perhaps my silver box was a little better protected in transit.
