They are definitely made for kids
I'm a grown woman and I really needed purple stockings for something. I found an adult deal but it took too long to decide and they were sold out so I took a chance when I found them. I have a slim waist but my hips are about 37 inches. The largest size barely fit and I was afraid they would tear when worn. So if you are 5ft 5in and have skinny legs, the largest size might suit you.
