This is a good product that looks well made. I got it primarily because I mashed up some eggs for an egg salad sandwich. It works better than the large potato masher I used before and way better than a fork. I would suggest washing it well before first use, paying special attention to cleaning between the 'teeth' of the press. The one I received had a dark residue (from the manufacturing process?) between the prongs. This came off easily, but required a thorough cleaning first. After this initial preparation, further cleaning was easy. I would recommend.
