It's been a few months since I bought this but I finally got the chance to install it (based on my son putting things in my new Xbox1). The installation took a long night (due to user error). I first tested the devices at 4ft with a spare Cat5 cable I had. I disconnected the HDMI from the TV, connected it to the transmitter, connected Cat5 to both receivers on the transmitter and connected the new HDMI from the receiver to the TV. Immediately the connection was made and the light connected. It worked! It's time to hook up the Cat6 I've wheeled into the attic to my TV. After spending a lot of time troubleshooting and trying a replacement cable, it turned out that I didn't connect the end properly. After the fix, it immediately connected. I haven't had any issues with it dropping or connecting (although I can't comment on durability). Now all I have to do is work on solving the Xbox Wireless Controller distance issue I just discovered! I'll update once I hook up an IR for testing (Xbox doesn't require an IR) and spend some time with it, but to put it simply, it works as it should.
