Works great for 07 prius

My 07 Prius was giving me check engine, and the red triangle of death after pushing it through a mountain pass in weather above 90 degrees. I took it to 2 different Toyota dealers to sort out the issues with check engine light. After countless hours of different technicians clearing the codes and trying to duplicate the same error codes, we were back to square one, with no answers. Well I took it upon myself to find a solution, and here it is. If your Prius loses abs, power steering, disengages drive, and air conditioner quits working, check the reservoir for the inverter pump. If there's very little movement to the liquid in the reservoirwhile the vehicle is running, or just small riffles, change out your inverter pump. After changing the pump on my Prius, it was night and day with how much liquid is moved through the reservoir after changing the pump. Problem solved. On my 07, the easiest way to check the pump is, insert key fob, without your foot on the brake, press power twice, then open cap on the inverter pump reservoir, and look for agitation in the liquid. It's easy to spot, if the pump is functional.

Pros
  • Worked great, no problem.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all coolant types
