This works great for my 2 year old who stays on his feet most of the time. Some water will seep around the ankle and wrist, although an ankle problem can be solved by wearing wellies. There is velcro to tighten the cuffs, just not very effectively. Generally well suited for upright children. My recent 1 year old is still mostly crawling and the suit isn't helping her stay dry. Because the zippers come out at an angle when crawling, the suit pulls down/backward and the zippers end at their knees. Water then seeps through the zipper, leaving her pants soaked under the raincoat after an hour of play. Very disappointed and would definitely not recommend for children who are not yet confident on their feet and are constantly standing/walking.
