At home I have a three liter plastic container in which I put hair ties, hair clips, headbands and so on. It's pretty full. I've learned over the years that you can never really tell how well this hairpiece works until you bring it home and try it out. My hair is thick and frizzy which makes it difficult to find hair clips that are strong and short enough to hold my hair in place without slowly (or quickly) falling out of its original place. Admittedly, I dared with this set. There weren't that many reviews which I usually rely on. However, I was really drawn to the shapes of the leaves and branches. I am very glad that I took this chance! I've used a silver leaf and silver branch-like hair clip a few times, maybe once or twice (see topic? I'm particularly fond of silver tones for hair, jewelry and other accessories). Every time - I was able to clip the hair clip on at the very beginning of the day - and it stayed in place - ALL DAY! I didn't even use hairspray. Vouser! I hit the jackpot with this set! I can honestly say that from my three-liter jar with other hair gizmos, only another hairpin will work - homemade, from the handle of an old silver-plated spoon. That's all! This set has quickly become my go-to when I style my hair in the morning because it works and looks amazing! Aside from working really well with my unruly hair, I love the fact that the hair clips have a nature theme and come in four different metallic shades. Thanks to the variety, I can combine it with almost any outfit! In fact, just yesterday I received a lovely compliment from a dear friend (who reminded/encouraged me to leave this review) - asking where she could buy a hairpin for her eldest daughter. All in all, I'm glad I took the risk. on that set of hairpins! In fact, I plan to look for other hairpins from the same manufacturer.
