This playpen is a lifesaver! In the cornfield around our house lived a homeless mother with four kittens. We already had 3 house cats and 2 large dogs, so of course we didn't have space to keep the kittens. There was already a large kennel in the garage to house them, but there is not enough space in the kennel to enjoy the play that kittens need. This playpen offers enough space for all kittens, their toys and an aluminum litter box! They get 3-4 play sessions of an hour or more per day in it (kittens sleep a lot). I have found that the secret to this work is to put a heavy, large, folded blanket on top, completely covering the bottom, to give it some weight and prevent it from falling onto the kittens. This, along with the weight of the litter box, makes it easy for kittens to jump, pull and tug on and around the web. I keep an eye on them as they shouldn't be left unattended in the playpen but since they spread the load all over the floor the kittens had no problem with the kittens dressing them themselves. If these steps are taken, you will not be disappointed with this product. The net has been pulled 100 times, there are snags, but there are no holes in the net! I recommend this product when precautions are taken to prevent a collapse, you are there to help them release their claws until they learn to do it themselves and you watch them while they play.
