An unlucky rat died under my guest bedroom under the house. I believe it was a feral cat that killed the poor chap as I don't keep poisons. Anyway he was there. I could see it but couldn't reach it (back problems) although I tried. And I tried. And I was thinking of cutting a hole in the ground to get it out from under the house because the smell was terrible. But I did remember that I have this lovely machine that I use from time to time for a dog scent that some uncultured guests find depressing. I used the machine in the room under the house that was most prone to rat rot (45 minutes, then gradually decreased over 15 minutes). The smell was completely eliminated for a day and a half. I used it again after someone was able to remove the rat. The smell was completely gone within 30 minutes. I will sing the praises of this device day and night. The price is great. The quality of the material does not correspond to natural wood. Looks like veneered chipboard, but chipboard doesn't get the smell out. Yes. Just don't enter it while waiting for the tree. Is not. But it looks great and above all it does what it promises. Particle board is a concern for me as I live in a high humidity area. I've already scratched the plywood by hitting the unit against the edge of the shelf where I store it. If you have a stink (or a recurring stink), take this. I had previously had another one with higher ratings and it shorted out after 3 weeks (4 x 30min use). Presented here is fantastic. Wonderful. The smell of a dead rat (memory lasts forever baby) NOTHING can be defeated by this device in 30-45 minutes. You'll be glad you bought this.
