Review on Pop Lock PL1350C Tailgate by Farhad Cantu

I bought this handle/lock to replace a used 2013 Silverado I bought that did not have a rear door lock. The device worked perfectly in summer and autumn, but last weekend it was -15 degrees Celsius (5 Fahrenheit). After a trip to check in some gear, I opened the back door and when I pulled the handle it broke in my hand. While the movement is metal, the grip and bezel are just plastic (not resin like the OEM). Waste of money for me and now an expensive service call to cut out the block as I can't open the tailgate and have a trunk lid. If you're somewhere where the temperature doesn't hit freezing, you'll probably be fine. and happy with this machine. Otherwise, I recommend you skip this.
