Attention - no return of defective cables

When using this cable, the camera will not be recognized by the computer. The battery doesn't charge either. The cable I received is different than what is pictured on Revain. The ferrite bead is shown next to the mini 8 pins. The cable I received has the ferrite bead on the USB A side. Although the cable appears to be defective, there are no returns.
