Review on PetSafe Kitty Harness Bungee Medium by Lisa Norman

He didn't like it but I immediately put some food in it

A few bucks more than other similar harnesses but definitely worth it! I bought another harness with straps (not a jacket/vest type) and put it on my cat. He didn't like it, but I immediately put something to eat that he likes. Problem? As he tilted his head forward to eat, the seat belt stretched across his chest cut his neck. I kept weakening him but it didn't matter, he kept choking/choking him. He would basically be fine if he sat down, but if he leaned forward he would slit his throat. This was a big problem as I was planning on using food to help him get used to the new harness. Then I searched through many seat belts and found this one. It has what looks like a V on the front and doesn't cut your throat when you eat it. He tolerates it at home. The downside is that the small plastic clips are difficult to snap in and out. It definitely requires two hands, so in the beginning when he was struggling more, it was difficult. (Now he sees the harness and purrs because he knows the harness = food, although he still adopts an odd posture when putting it on.) Putting it on definitely takes practice. Measure your cat too! In fact, this is a kind of loop that goes around the cat's head. The top of the loop (behind the head) has a small slider and clips, and then the bottom (V) goes between the front legs where it splits into 2 straps that wrap around the cat's body. 2 straps are attached to a small slider. The straps are adjustable to fit your cat's chest, but the loop is NOT. Loop one size. There's a plastic piece that can be adjusted where the V touches your cat's chest, but the loop itself isn't adjustable, so you'll need to make sure it fits.
