I installed these speakers yesterday. Use the metal clip provided with the speakers to remove the grilles - lift one side halfway, then lift the opposite side of the grille and they come off easily. REALLY EASY. To attach the grilles, carefully line them up with the installed speaker and one side should fit in very easily, but only about halfway. Take a drywall cutter and use a razor blade to GENTLY "pry" the grille and push it down a bit on the edge - move slowly and steadily - insert the grille about halfway - when fully seated - Push it up on either side of the speaker and the grille easily slide in flush. It didn't last hours. The grill can be removed in 30 seconds and it took less than a minute to reattach the grill. use your head Don't push the grille all the way in on one side and think that's the way to go while trying to pinch the opposite side. It's not - you just bend the grate. One of the worst things in the world is GENDER GRILL. You do NOT want to bend the bars or be called 'GB' by your neighbors - so take your time and as I wrote - WALK CAREFULLY. Use a drywall cutter and use some logic otherwise you will most likely be disappointed and you will ruin everything. Finally, adjust the tweeter with a finger AFTER the grille is turned on. Sounds reasonable - at $37 - I was really surprised that they actually sound good - and now I understand the huge premium for speakers. These puppies are holding on to themselves. You will not be disappointed. The sound has become just great and at a lower volume. The highs could have been a little cleaner and the bass a little quieter - but hey - for $37. Looks like you paid 3-4 times more. So don't be afraid to dip your toes in the water with these speakers - GREAT VALUE. They are more than good for most applications. I hang them from the ceiling in the kitchen so they swing when I'm cooking and having guests. Very happy with the purchase.
