a big improvement over the standard IPHONE speaker
I use it often when my wife and I are talking to my sister or mother. Yes, the IPHONE speaker basically does the same thing, BUT (and that's a big but). This greatly improves the sound and increases the volume. I like that it doesn't have batteries. Sometimes you have to move it around to get a solid connection, but that may be because my iPhone is old and has nothing to do with that little Firewire speaker. If you're on the phone a lot and use the speaker then get this. Much better than the built in speaker on any iPhone I've ever used. Also louder and clearer.
