I read some reviews about a product that leaves a film on the bike. First of all, I'm not saying that's why they made the film. I'm just reporting my experience. The product seems to like to dry, fairly quickly and within 3-5 minutes of being left on the bike. So I spray the product on thinly when it seems to be drying out. Not enough to wash it off, just enough to keep it wet. It's applied to a wet bike to make it want to stay wet. It also seems that even a touch of direct sun dries it out quickly. Between the fog and the lack of sun I figured it was time for me to go. After rinsing the bike thoroughly and drying with a blower, a film remained. The film was made up of a whole series of small dots of filmy material, not water stains because it definitely felt filmy. In some places it was very easy, in others not so much. My bottom line is that I will not be using it again due to the wafer thin residue and the cost (easily 2/3 bottle for a Can-Am Spyder). I return to the bucket of soap and sponge. It might not be as convenient, but it cleans better and is cheaper.
