It's good but not great

I bought this item because I work in an IT call center where I answer the phone all day and often type at the same time. I was expecting it to be comfortable for typing and talking, but the problem is that you still have to tilt your neck a little to get the phone stable. Let's say you want to hold the phone to your ear with one hand while using the mouse with the other - the extra circumference the shoulder pad adds makes it more difficult. So it doesn't feel like an upgrade from the standard phone, but more like an offshoot that doesn't fully solve the original problem. Keeping the phone on your shoulder for long periods helps, but the fact that you still have to tilt your head a bit means you're not fixing the real problem, just mitigating it. I have broad shoulders and I think this device might work better for people with narrow shoulders as theoretically they don't have to lean as far as their base of support is closer. I'll probably end up just using a lightweight headset.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • For seniors
