The material is thick. It feels and looks like a more expensive garment. It does run bigger than pictured. I got the 6-7 size and it’s down to my daughters calves. Not short as pictured. But she will definitely get good use out of it this year and next. Really pleased with my purchase.Edited to add: my daughter wore it today for a Christmas concert and she got so many compliments on this dress! Updating my review to 5 stars because this is a winner!
