I really like them for protecting the drives I use with an external USB dock. It's small, soft, two-piece, and flexible. It's small size means it fits easily in a bank vault for offsite backup. Another reviewer mentioned how the disconnect point prevents the case from being left half open when the drive is in an external dock. My dock does not cause this problem. So I prefer to leave the bottom half on so I have something to hang on to when I take it out and also protects it from static electricity. The soft silicone absorbs normal contact with the table and other objects when putting it down, and the material is non-slip. It also has many ventilation holes. So if you're looking for full protection where it's impossible to touch the board while it's in your pocket you might want something different, but this works well in my home.
