Works great with Garmin GPS
This adapter works great with eTrex. This allows you to constantly turn on the backlight of the display while driving. A big plus for visibility. And it saves batteries. The only downside I've found so far is that the USB connector fits my Blackberry, so I figured I could charge it with this cable. However, this power supply must have circuitry to determine the load it draws. When my BlackBerry battery is low, the power cord disconnects every time I plug in my phone to charge. All in all, no problems with the eTrex.
