Review on Kempston 104405 Straight 16 Inch Diameter: Ultimate Precision for All Woodworking Projects by Mike Travers

I had never heard of Kempston vinyl cutters but had to buy this vinyl cutter due to its price and the fact that it shipped to India. The great thing about Kempston is that, like the CMT and Axminister, the bits come in hard plastic cases that prevent damage in transit and allow for easy storage. Kempston bits are colored yellow just like CMT bits are colored orange. I tried a bit and found it made a pretty good cut. However, I did experience some chattering when the chisel was used for its full two inch length of cut. In comparison, the solid carbide twist drill produced no vibrations at all. But the Kempston bit gave a sharp, clear edge. Excellent for its price. Just have to see how long it lasts and keep giving sharp edges.
