Easy to install, some WiFi signal improvement

These antennas were bought to try and boost the WiFi signal around the home. I received them in just a few days and installed them on an old TP-Link TL-WR1043ND N300 WiFi router that has been around for several years. (I was considering using a Wi-Fi range extender, but having a second WiFi network with the extender was a problem for a tablet and laptop used around the house. You'll need to change network connections if You're leaving the extender section.) New 9dB antennas were shorter than the original TP-Link antennas and I was a little worried about that. I used my Lenovo tablet to measure Wi-Fi signal strength before and after installing new antennas. I used to get a -66dB to -64dB signal. After installing new antennas, the signal level improved to -62 dB and -61 dB. Nothing major, although the signal seemed a bit more stable than before. I'm not sure if the minimum investment was worth it, but if it wasn't then I had nothing to lose. What I noticed is that the video camera (WLAN 2.4 GHz) installed in our shed connects a bit faster and the video stream seems to be more stable. Now that most of the old 802.11n devices are gone, I can upgrade my router to something more technologically advanced since everything in the house is now connected to 802.11ac or Ethernet. Time will tell if this was a good idea, but I'll hold off until I decide to replace the router.
