Review on Microsoft Modern Mobile Mouse - Glacier (KTF-00056) by Kyle Ross

I was very skeptical about this mouse at first as I read in one of the reviews here that it doesn't have an on/off switch which can drain the batteries quickly. But I was glad that the single button with the Bluetooth icon on the bottom of the mouse is actually an ON/OFF switch. :) It's very deceptive if you only know other brands' slide switches and mistake every button you press with the Bluetooth symbol for a pairing button. In any case, this mouse is very minimalist, simple and works flawlessly. The main thing I really like about this mouse is that its scroll wheel is a step wheel, which means you can feel the steps as you scroll. Some people don't like it and prefer "oily" smooth scroll wheels, but I find these wheels inaccurate when doing valuable work. So the step wheel is a big plus for me. Like the Surface Pen, this mouse runs on batteries. And I prefer it over the built-in lithium batteries that need to be charged every now and then, so you always have to carry a charging cable with you. In that case, if you experience lag during use, just pop into the grocery store and buy some batteries and you'll be fine for the next few months. Now for the color - I read in some places I enjoy, others spend a lot of time thinking about which color to choose; Be it a Type Cover keyboard, pen or mouse. I also thought about it a lot and finally decided on black and the reason was that I chose the black Type Cover keyboard which also led me to choose the black Surface Pen. But in the end it's just a color and it doesn't affect anything but your brain. ;) All Surface accessories can be the same color or a combination of them. It's really a matter of taste.
