These are made of great sturdy cotton-spandex fabric. The fabric has a nice "hand", and although these are primarily cotton, they look neater than most khaki pants to me.I've never thought to measure a pair of pants before to ponder the "ease" built in, but for some reason I did today. These are 38x32 pants, and the waist is actually 40 inches (the hip is 48, so there is some nice ease there). They are 32 inches long. It might be that some of the extra is there because they'll shrink in the wash; we haven't washed them yet. (Okay, I washed them and threw them in the dryer, 'cause you know you're going to do that. They shrunk just a bit in the waist, maybe 3/8". They shrunk a full inch in the length, and now have a 31" inseam.)Suggestion: hang dry instead of putting them in the dryer. (Unless you mix your darks and lights, and then you'll want the dryer to get the lint off.) If you hang dry them, they should stay nice looking longer, since the dryer tends to be a little rough on clothes. Also, if you put them in the dryer, they will almost certainly shrink in length, but since these are longer than expected, that might be a good thing.
