Glad I listened to other reviews and got this key instead of a general purpose gland key. I had to use this tool and a 24" breaker to get it moving. This tool bit and twisted it easily without damaging anything. Since this tool is cheaper than a new end cap and if you damage the end cap you may not even be able to take it apart, but that really isn't a problem. Yes, it's expensive, but if you hop in a snap-on truck and see how much they charge for specialty tools of the same quality, you'll see that it's not very expensive. I can see and appreciate the quality. It's as good as any instrument I own.
