I have 2 separate laptops (Dell and HP) that work with 2 different Thunderbolt docks that I use for the work and have at home. I just want to expand the location of the dock at home. This will not work for a laptop or Thunderbolt used in any configuration and flipping the cable doesn't help. Both laptops recognize USB devices and charge the laptop but the video never works. In fact, when using the Thunderbolt software, the document is only listed as "a port" instead of showing it as a valid Thunderbolt document. I'll keep it because it's still useful as long as I use my laptop screen, which is fine with me until I actually find a product that actually works. I think the seller should remove the claims that it works with Thunderbolt 3. This is clearly not the case.
