Review on Saucony Excursion 👟 TR11 Women's Running Shoe by Kelly Dorsey

It probably should have been 2 stars but they fitted well and I felt they were very stable. Problem is I ordered them about 3 weeks ago and figured I should break them in before hiking (next week), I've worn them to the gym a few times and for a few short walks around town (approx 30 minutes, nothing tense). And they have already torn in a very strange place. Around the inner edge and it looks like it could be the hard plastic in the fabric? I'm not entirely sure, but I expected this wear and tear at least a few months beforehand, especially on a shoe that I've probably only really broken in 2 or 3 times on the treadmill. They are also not as black or dark as in the photo. Rather grey. They cost about $50 so I wasn't expecting too much from them and since I could see the color I liked them. I will still wear them on the streets and hopefully a quick stitch will extend their lifespan. but I'm sadly disappointed.
