The spring that keeps them closed broke after just over 3 months of occasional use.
I've had them for a little over 3 months and they are not at all as strong as described. The spring no longer works, so it is no longer possible to repair these scissors. I would have thought that if they were a singer they would be much more durable. If it hadn't expired I would have sent them back.
