Received this windscreen in hopes of reducing background noise like the faint hum coming from the air conditioner vent in my room when I'm playing a voice Over record microphone Blue Yeti. I also wanted to reduce the impact of my breathing when speaking. I'm happy to report that this does an excellent job of reducing those ambient noises, although you may need to reduce them even more in post-processing when editing your audio, depending on how loud they are. Also, I had to stretch the foam a bit to fit my Blue Yeti mic, but it wasn't a huge hassle.
