These check valves are pretty standard. I used one to replace a check valve that had frozen from corrosion. I used a compression ball and nut from a discarded valve. Because the compression roller deforms on initial installation, I had to use pipe sealant that was applied to the old compression roller and I applied the sealant over three wraps of tape around the threads. There are no leaks yet. At the same time, the US needs a new standard for valves on sinks, toilets and other plumbing fixtures. The current standard check valve will wear out over time and fail in moderately hard water. Several shut off valves in my 40 year old house have frozen. I have to replace them one by one when the sink, toilet, etc. needs maintenance.
