Review on πŸ”ͺ Sabatier Non-Slip Poly Cutting Board with EdgeKeeper Pop-Up Sharpener - 11x14 inches: A Perfect Combo for Precision Cutting and Sharpening by Lauralee Jensen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Well, I wouldn't call it non-slip.

Non-slip? On the one hand maybe, but not entirely. I've compared it to my regular plastic chopping boards and this one glides on just as easily as my old one without the non-slip corners. Not only that, this one slips even more on one side because when I lay it on the side where the sharpener comes out face down, the plastic corner is very slippery and allows it to slide all over the laminate countertop, even though I do Never use it sharpener, I have to be careful which side is facing down. for the sharpener it seemed to work but i wouldn't believe i would have a good sharpener as long as i have had this board for a very long time. Also, when you pull the knife to sharpen it, the blade will cut into the plastic corner of the board. After only sharpening 10 or 12 strokes I already have a shallow groove in the corner. I really didn't see any advantages of this board over a regular plastic cutting board and the fact that I have to be careful which side is down makes it less convenient and means I can only use one side. Sorry it's not my favorite board.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Boring packaging
