Review on HMTECH Raspberry Touchscreen 10.1-inch Portable Monitor, 1024X600 Resolution, Full HD 1920X1080P IPS Display, Official Touch Screen - HM10.1-RP by Mark Tirrel

Actually not 1024x600 (HD)

I was planning on using this for RPi projects as well as a few other hobbies, but the first thing that struck me was that it works well over HDMI from a computer or my CCTV system. but the declared native resolution of 1024x600 is wrong and doesn't work properly. The lack of a way to mount the frame or mount it to another plate is a little odd, so setting this up somewhere takes a bit of ingenuity. There's a spot on the back to mount an RPi and a small stand, but if you're looking to build something like an interactive kiosk or something people touch, protecting the screen from movement will require some extra creativity. The picture quality is pretty good, and the touchscreen part feels accurate and works well. Compared to other touchscreen options, this one does not stand out due to the lack of mounting options and imprecise resolution specifications.

Pros
  • Raspberry Pi Touch Monitor -- The 10.1-inch Raspberry Pi monitor with IPS screen and high HD 1024x600 resolution offers more accurate color reproduction on the touch monitor, excellent picture quality and richer colors. Viewing angles of 178° are more suitable for working and viewing on a screen with several people in the room. The monitor uses tempered glass and a full bonding process.
Cons
