Review on Kaytee 5-Pound Nut & Fruit Blend Wild Bird Food by Mary Hawkins

I have always been happy with Kaytee bird products but this bag was full of dusty and old seeds and nuts. It even smelled old and musty. I thought it was just me - I filled the birdhouses - and nothing got touched or eaten. Nothing. Birds avoid these feeding sites. I took them off, poured out the seeds, washed and cleaned the feeders very well and filled them with other birdseed to which they flocked. This is the first time I've come across old and moldy seeds. Maybe it was a bad batch, or an old batch, or the dates were wrong, but it was definitely a bad batch. There has to be some kind of quality control. I will no longer buy from them.
