I replaced my old ceiling fan/lighting kit (which has 2 wall switches) with this fan and was concerned about how the remote would work to control fan speed and light. It works the way I would design it: no matter how the remote was left, the wall switch returns to turn on the light. You can then use the remote control to control the fan and the brightness of the light. Let's say you turn on the wall when you enter the bedroom. In bed, turn off the lights and turn on the fan when you want to fall asleep. They leave the next morning. When you come back, the wall switch is still on from last night, but the fan and lights are off. No problem. You turn off the wall switch, then turn it on and the light comes on. You can use the remote control to adjust the light and fan to your liking. It's stylish and reliable - nothing wobbles.
